Workshop Methodological Presumptions (90 min.)

How do literary scholars decide which methodologies to use when analyzing poetic texts? What makes for the successful application of method in a close reading? When does method infringe on the primary text? Using her lecture “Voice of Trauma” held on Friday as a model, Prof. Dr. Berndt will use the workshop to reflect on the importance and limits of method for literary analysis.
