For the first time in many years, GSLL hosted German Day, North Carolina’s annual contest for middle school and high school learners of German. Over 400 students from K-12 schools from throughout North Carolina traveled to Chapel Hill to compete in contests and competitions to see who are the best K-12 students of German in the state. Competitions included spelling bees, cultural quizzes, poetry recitations, creative skits, art contests, and karaoke. Kudos to all the students who made the journey to Carolina to show their dedication to learning German!
