Digital Humanities Open House

Please join us on Thursday, November 4, from 11:30-1:30pm, in 330 Gross Hall, Ahmadiah Family Grand Hall for a Digital Humanities Open House. This event will feature three short presentations by faculty and students working on different digital humanities projects, followed by a general discussion. If you are interested in the intersection of literary study and digital/computational methods, please do attend this event!

 

The Open House will begin with the following three short presentations:

Aarthi Vadde (Faculty, English), “Fandom and Fictionality after the Social Web: A Computational Study of AO3.”

Astrid Guigni (Faculty, English, IID)Aimi Wen (Undergraduate, Mechanical Engineering), and Leona Lu (Undergraduate, Computer Science, Statistics, Med/Ren), “The Ethics of Economic Language in Early Modern Texts: Computational and Archival Approaches.”

Julianne Werlin (Faculty, English), “English Authors, 1500-1700: A Demographic Approach.”
