Carolina Translation Collective is a group dedicated to creating a space for translation in the Carolina community that meets monthly to discuss readings and workshop translations. Those in the Carolina community (defined quite broadly and certainly not limited to the UNC Chapel Hill campus) who are interested in the theory and practice of translation, regardless of experience or language are welcomed to join.

Join the Carolina Translation Collective Facebook page to find information about upcoming meetings, virtual events, and other translation-related links.

For the September meeting, we will read and discuss Don Mee Choi’s Translation is a Mode=Translation is an Anti-Neocolonial Mode. You can purchase the pamphlet from Ugly Duckling Press or reach out to Sarah for a pdf.

Contact Sarah Booker and Sarah Blanton with any questions of concerns.

As schedules shift with the start of the new semester, we are asking for feedback on the best time to meet. We ask that you take a couple minutes to complete this brief survey with your scheduling preferences. Also included is a space for you to share requests or suggestions for future topics or activities.
