Congratulations to Nick Jones who has received the Richard Brooke Scholarship. Awarded to Carolina students who have completed either secondary or university education in the United Kingdom, the Richard Brooke Scholarship recognizes Nick’s bachelors degree completed at Durham University, where he graduated with distinction. Following two years at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, where he completed his master’s degree, Nick came to the Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies, first as an exchange student and then as a fully enrolled student. Nick is currently completing his dissertation on German realist novels written in the Weimar Republic and the period of exile.
