On October 18, 2021 Dr. Lea Greenberg presented a talk (via Zoom) entitled “A Curious Daughter: The excess of reading and desire in Karl Emil Franzos’s ‘The Shylock of Barnow’ (1877).” Dr. Greenberg received her Ph.D. from the Carolina-Duke Graduate Program in German Studies and is visiting assistant professor of German and European studies at Knox College. The event was sponsored by the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies (link).
