Choice, a publishing unit of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL), the largest division of the American Library Association, has selected the Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception Online as one of its very few Outstanding Electronic Academic Titles for 2020.
In 2010, EBR received this award for its first print volumes. Now, a decade later, in 2020, EBR Online has been selected once again for this distinguished award, which recognizes its excellence in scholarship, presentation, and its great significance to its field of research. It is also a recognition of the fact that EBR has maintained a steady and consistent publication schedule, producing new content every year.
The award for the online version demonstrates the current and future importance of digital reference works, especially now when libraries are closed in many places.
