Undergraduate Awards

Two undergraduate awards in the GSLL department are the Chancellors Awards: The Paul Debreczeny Prize in Slavic Languages and Literatures and The Ria Stambaugh Undergraduate Award for Excellence in German.

Additionally, there is the Delta Phi Alpha National German Honor Society.

Induction into Phi Betta Kappa, the nation’s oldest college honorary society, is another honor received by some GSLL students. Lists of past inductees can be viewed here and here.

Graduate Awards

Two graduate awards in the GSLL department are the Siegfried Mews Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Ria Stambaugh-Frank Borchardt Essay Award.
