GSLL promotes the study of and research in the principal languages, literatures, and cultures of central, northern, and eastern Europe and northern Asia. The languages GSLL’s faculty currently teach include Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Czech, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Polish, and Russian. GSLL offers five different undergraduate majors leading to the BA (two in German, two in Slavic, and one in Central European Studies), a PhD program in German Studies (jointly with Duke University), and an MA in Slavic.
