Department's Macedonian website wins Access to Language Education Award
The website housing the Department's newly created self-paced online MACD 401 course (http://macedonianlanguage.org) has won the 2012 Access to Language Education award, presented by the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO), the Esperantic Studies Foundation, and Lernu.net. The award acknowledges the website's offering of "exceptional language learning resources." Designed largely by GSLL's Macedonian instructor, Biljana Belamarić-Wilsey, the website is cited for its offering of "exceptional language learning resources." The award will be presented to the website and to Biljana as the principal instructional designer at the annual CALICO/IALLT (International Association for Language Learning with Technology) conference in mid-June at the University of Notre Dame.
